Author Submission Guide

Welcome to the Journal of Islamic Monetary Economics and Finance (JIMF) author submission guide. Starting with OJS features, a more intuitive interface designed to streamline the submission process. Please follow these step-by-step instructions to submit your manuscript.

Account Registration & Login

Before submitting your article, you must create an account on the JIMF website.

  • Access the JIMF Website: Open your browser and navigate to the official JIMF URL.
  • Register an Account: If you do not have an account, click the Register button in the top right corner. Complete the profile form (Name, Affiliation, Email, and Country). Check the box "Yes, I would like to be contacted with requests to review submissions for this journal" if you wish to act as a reviewer.
  • Login: If you are already registered, click Login and enter your credentials.

Step-by-Step Submission Process

Step 1 Make a Submission

Instructions:

  1. After clicking New Submission, enter your article Title as the first required data.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and locate the Submission Checklist section.
  3. Unlike older versions, individual items are now fully automated. You only need to check a single box at the very bottom: Submission Checklist.
  4. Under Submit As, select Author (Note: This field may not appear if your account is exclusively configured to Author view).
  5. Check the Privacy Consent box
  6. Click the Begin Submission button at the bottom to proceed.
Step 2 Submission Details

Instructions:

  1. Complete all required fields marked with an asterisk (*).
  2. Enter your Keywords one by one. Press Enter on your keyboard to separate each keyword (commas are no longer used in this version).
  3. Copy and paste your article's Abstract and References (Bibliography) into the designated boxes.
  4. Click Continue to move to the next step.
Step 3 Upload Submission

Instructions:

  1. Click Add File to browse and select your article from your file manager.
  2. Wait until the upload is complete and the file appears under the Files section.
  3. When the pop-up "What kind of file is this?" appears, simply click Article Text and hit Save. (If you are uploading supplementary materials instead of the main manuscript, click Other to choose the appropriate file type, then click Save).
  4. Click Continue.
Step 4 Contributors

Instructions:

  1. Click Add Contributor to add all co-authors of the article.
  2. Fill in the required details: Given Name, Email Address, Country, Affiliation, and Contributor's Role, then click Save.
  3. Set the Primary Contact. Ensure the selected author actively monitors their email, as they will receive all correspondence regarding reviews and revisions.
  4. To rearrange the author order, click Order, use the up/down arrows to match the order in the manuscript, and click Save Order before clicking Continue.
Step 5 Comments for the Editor & Review

Instructions:

  1. The Comments for the Editor section is optional and can be skipped. Click Continue.
  2. In the Review stage, double-check all the information you have entered
  3. If everything is correct, scroll down and click Submit
  4. A confirmation dialog box will appear; click Submit again to finalize your application.
  5. Once completed, a Submission Complete page will be displayed.
